As described in further detail here, Laura Martin has taught ESL (English as a Second Language) to English Language Learners since 2008. She earned State of Kentucky Teacher Certification in 2009.  She has taught Linguistics as a full-time Instructor at the University of Kentucky’s Department of English.

She has also taught Latin, which requires teaching English grammar to students, as a Visiting Adjunct Instructor at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky.

Laura has a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) in English & Linguistics and a Master of Arts degree (M.A.) in Speech-Language Pathology. Through both of these disciplines, Laura gained in-depth knowledge of the English language, including its grammar/syntax, morphology, and phonetics/phonology.

She also has a B.A. in Classical Languages & Literature, and an M.A. in French, both of which furthered her critical thinking about language, grammar, and syntax.
